Rimmel Wonder’Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow

Rimmel Wonder’Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow

Rimmel London are one of my trusted go-to drugstore brands for everything makeup, so every time I hear of a new product release I get a little excited like a child at Christmas. The Wonder’Swipe is Rimmel’s first 2-in-1 liner to eye shadow product, and the first (as far as I’m aware) of it’s kind on the drugstore beauty market, transform from a metallic liquid eyeliner to duo-chrome glitter shadow with the swipe of your finger.

Available in 16 shade’s, Rimmel boasts ultra-pigmentation, 10 hour wear, transfer-proof, smudge-proof and touch-proof.  These are essentially liquid eye liners meaning they have a wetter formula than a pen liner so you get a lot more time to work with the product before it dries and sets in place. The applicator is made up of fine, densely packed, streamlined bristles to allow for easy handling and precise thin line’s for liner application.

The packaging is quite cute and reminds me of garden Gnome’s with very tall hats all in different colours; ‘The hats’ reflect the shade of the product inside with speckle’s of glitter through it, ‘ the bodies’ are a basic black with all the information written in holographic silver.

The Wonder’Swipe glides on effortlessly without any dragging, clumping or uneven patches. It’s highly pigmented formula means you don’t lose the colour, you just diffuse it when you blend it out into a shadow, but if you’re looking for a more intense shadow look these are super easy to layer and you can also layer different colours to create your finished look. The pigment doesn’t transfer or smudge after it’s dried down but the ‘glitter curse’ isn’t so lenient, although not as bad as some glitter’s this does still have a little transfer especially if you touch it, after swatching on my arm I had glittery hands, fingers, forearms, face, hair… yep, the glitter curse.

I love how vibrant all the shade’s are, even Yassss which is white, there are so many incredible shade’s and I can’t wait to play and create looks with them.

Have you tried the Rimmel London Wonder’Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow? Which is your favourite shade?

Ooo I love the different shades they have in there! To be honest, I struggle with liquid liner like these but I might give them a try! They seem to have blended really nicely too! Great review! 💗😍

16 shades!? That’s incredible! I’m definitely keeping my eyes out for these as I really love wearing coloured liners. I’m especially loving the look of Mega Hottie and Crave Me. These would be especially fabulous for festivals and doing little arty things on the face/body! Rimmel seem to be bringing out some really good stuff lately.

Personally I wouldn’t use them as eyeshadows on the top lid, I think I would do a smokey neutral eyeshadow with bold glitter eyeliner on top and I would kind of smudge them on the bottom. They look super pretty!
