Old English Company are an amazing stationary and giftware brand that sells the cutest enamel pin’s, planners, cards and even pillowcases; and after seeing Bexa’s cute enamel pins I found myself browsing their website, and today my little haul of products has arrived!!
I’ll start with the enamel pins as I picked up quite a few of these: She is Fierce, Heart Breaker, Monstera Leaf, Ice Cream, Heart and Pumpkin. Growing up I used to collect band & movie badges/pins and decorate my school bag with them, it started with the Spice Girls merchandise and as I grew into my teens it became Star Wars, by the time I left school I had all but a few badges left. I had kinda forgotten about my badge/pin collection growing up until I saw these beauties and it sparked something inside me. The 90’s fashion seems to have come full swing and I am basically reliving my childhood through clothes right now, I’ve even purchased my first denim jacket, the last time I had a denim jacket I was maybe 10 years old, and the urge to customise it with these cute pins is unreal. There’s also a chance for you to win a set of the Heart Enamel Pins by entering their competition. Hurry, Competition winner will be announced 30th May.
Another old school denim customisation technique was iron-on patches, not as easily customisable if you decided on a change but a quick way to transform an old denim jacket, jeans or dungarees and they last for ages. I haven’t seen an Iron-On patch since I was in school but the Old English Company once again is serving 90’s vibe’s with their Iron-On patches and I picked out two the Girl Gang and XoXo both in matching Yellow/Gold background thread and white writing thread.
Now I’ve relived my childhood through pins and patches lets talk about some of the other beautiful items I got from the Old English Company, starting with something a little outside of what I would usually purchase. Yep I’m talking about the coasters, these are individual coasters but do they not make a lovely pairing? Simple, monochrome and on trend, the Monstera Leaf (or Swiss Cheese Plant Leaf) and Pineapple coasters will make a great addition to any room, these will be going on my bedside table’s.
Stationary!! Ok so I managed to restrain myself from buying everything in their stationary range to just two things, the Really Important Things Memo Pad because it’s a great way to brain dump and the You Should Go For It Planner because you really should just go for it, whatever your ‘it’ maybe! And finally the You’ve Got This Keyring for a little daily reminder that you can handle whatever life throws at you.
