Hello and welcome to!!

That’s right I’ve moved!! I’ve wanted to go self-hosted with my blog for awhile now, but I honestly had no idea where to even start, so I took to trusty twitter to ask those of you who had already moved across to a self-hosted platform. The two most common recommendations from bloggers were Blue Host and Site Ground; with Host Capitol and pipdig joining the conversation to offer their services, but more on that later (I’m gonna write up a post about going self-hosted for those of you thinking of making the jump, I know some of you were in the same boat and I hope those involved in the twitter conversation found it a little more helpful seeing the recommended platforms.)

The reason I’m writing this today, is not only to introduce you all to the new website, but also to give a little introduction to the blog and myself. These past two months have been utterly amazing as I have watched my little blog grow, and it only seems right to introduce myself and to you all.

Who is Emma Rollason?

I am a 24 (a month away from 25) hair colour chameleon, I love to dye my hair different colours; I’m currently an accidental purple, but I love it! I am obsessed with lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes and Instagram. I’ve only recently realised that twitter is a bloggers best friend and after years of neglect I now fluffing love it. I spent a lot of last year travelling the UK with my previous job where I worked as a children’s presenter. I work part-time in a high street retail store and spend the rest of my time devoted to this blog, Instagram and of course twitter, hoping to one day branch out and start creating youtube videos too.

What can you expect from is an extension of myself, my love of makeup, hair dye, clothes and travel with a splash of life thrown in for good measure. Expect hauls, reviews, how-to’s/tutorials, photo diaries, support and advice.

I’d love to get to know you all a bit better, leave a little introduction to yourself down in the comments and lets be best friends!

Emma x

Huge congrats on going self hosted my lovely! I thought I was doing that when I moved my blog to wordpress, but I didn’t do my research properly and was a little confused about .com and .org ? But things seem to be ok for now and I’ll carry on as I am for now. I’d be really interested in seeing your review on moving as the advice I’ve been given previously i all from people who give me an affiliate link, so it’s difficult to know if it really is the best! Xx

It is super confusing there’s so much information and so many sites and the .com/.org thing too. I do love wordpress, and have been successful in moving across with wordpress so I’m not having to get my head around to a new platform which is a bonus. Reaching out to other bloggers who are already self-hosted through twitter was a massive help to see who they recommended and which platforms were most popular. I will be writing up my review/what I know of going self-hosted soon, hopefully today/tomorrow, using my snow days productively, I’ll let you know when it’s up. x
